We offer one class of Learn to Play that is broken up into different levels. This enables the students to progress at their own pace. In this philosophy no student is held back by another and no student is far behind the rest of the pack. The instructors decide where each child starts and when they are ready to move up.

Ages: 4-11

Required Equipment:
Every child is required to wear a helmet, elbow pads, gloves, cup, shin guards, stick, and skates. Any child entering their second session of LTP is required to wear shoulder pads and pants in addition to the previous equipment. Discounted equipment packages available in pro shop.

Hockey Player

Adult Learn to Play Hockey

The adult learn to play hockey program is a nine week course that is designed to teach adults the basics of the great game of ice hockey. This beginner course is the first step to joining one of the many teams that are part of the IBAHL. The course is designed for persons with basic skating skills (i.e. forward & backward skating, crossovers) and with little to no knowledge of hockey skills (i.e. puck-handling, passing, shooting). The course runs in 10 week sessions with the final 2 weeks consisting of scrimmage games against novice level teams from the IBAHL.

  • Gloves
  • Stick
  • Athletic cup and supporter

The Revolution Ice Centre offers a Developmental Learn to Play Class for Adults ages 18 and older. The class focuses on skating, stick handling, pass and shooting. We will coordinate games at the end of each session for the players to take on some of our own PBHL and OTHC teams.

Adult Instructional Team

Have you ever wanted to play the game of hockey but aren’t quite ready for adult league?

Do you play in an adult league now but just aren’t satisfied with your skills?

If so, this team is for you. 

In this program we teach the game of hockey from individual skills, to all out team play. 

Some main focuses will be:

stride techniques, edge control, body mechanics, stick handling, accurate passing, increased shooting accuracy, team systems, defensive positioning, and break outs.

The Kings will have 20 practices to work on individual skills and teach team strategies.  The Kings will also play 4 games against other adult league teams to put their skills to the test in actual game situations.
